Moving with a Trisikad
Yesterday, I talked about the difficulty of finding apartments here in our place and how easy it is to look for one in the US. Today, I am also sharing to you how hard it is moving from place to place here in Bacolod. Aside from the fact that moving is very expensive, you have no choice but to try other unconventional means.
For the past three moving we did last year and once this year (hopefully the last before moving into our own house), we used a “trisikad” to move our things from the previous house to the new one. It was a long trip but it was way much cheaper compared getting a jeep or hire movers. Using it was more convenient for us when it comes to money. If you compare it with my friend who was moving in Los Angeles, she didn’t have a hard time because there were a lot of affordable movers in the US unlike here that they cost so much!!
Anyway, though our methods where not the usual, it was effective for us; besides, those trisikad drivers where our friends. So our belongings where travelled safely and securely. They took care of our things while transferring from one house to another.
