A Love that Never Blossomed

I have a friend in the United States who lived in California. He is an engineer in one of the companies in the Silicon Valley. Then he met a girl - a Filipina physical therapist who lives in Chicago. That geographic positioning means they have to cross the entire North American continent in order to meet. The girl is really pretty and my friend wanted to pursue her.

During the time of courtship, my friend always sent flowers over to the girl. Through trial and error, he found the best online florist that gave him a good rate and had great service. He would send flowers almost every week. Then he went up to Chicago once a month to visit her. But sadly, no matter his efforts and expense, she never gave him attention even after several months of courtship.
