Unfair Treatment

When cooking, a wife can really smell awful. If she cooks after bathing, all the aroma of cooking food will stick to her hair and clothes. And after slicing garlic and onions (cooking staples in a Filipino household), her hands will reek of the strong odors. If she will take a bath after cooking, she is just so tired already and her hands have been handling hot things that it would not be good for her to take a bath. If she rests after cooking in order to take a bath, then that means the food will already be cold when the husband comes home.

Then when the husband comes home, he either complains that the wife does not smell good or that the food is not good. Gee, where will the wife go?

And if she is no longer sexy, she will hear snide remarks about her figure. After all that she has been through all day, the last thing that she needs is a husband who keeps on complaining about everything, including her figure. It is no wonder why women resort to taking fast weight loss pills just so they can keep up with their husbands’ demands.

But I think that is just unfair and demeaning. Maybe what these husbands need is an exchange of places even for just one day.
